IV Albumin Therapy

This intravenous treatment helps restore fluid balance by using a solution of albumin (a type of protein). This treatment works by increasing the level of albumin in the blood, which returns fluid to the bloodstream and reduces swelling by removing fluid from the tissues. In addition, it can be used to treat shock, burns, replace proteins lost enduring liver failure, and reduce the risk of infection during certain medical procedures.

IV Rituximab therapy

In nephrotic syndrome, rituximab therapy is used only when steroid or other immunosuppressive treatment is not available. Other indications for this treatment include refractory SLE, vasculitis, and HUS.

IV IVIG therapy

A therapy for patients with antibody deficiency is intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), which is made from immunoglobulins (antibodies) derived from the plasma of thousands of healthy donors. To fight infections, the immune system of healthy people produces immunoglobulins. Although IVIG is made from plasma (blood products), the likelihood of blood-borne infection is extremely low because of how it has been purified.

IV Cyclophosphamide therapy

Specific cases of nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, vasculitis, and autoimmune diseases such as SLE (lupus nephritis) fall under this category.
